It is an original cornice coming from the late Regency period of the 19th century in Durham Road. It comes from one of the houses which have a bay window therefore the cornice is not long on the wall. Also, the cornice is traditional style cornice which was made to match the existing panels in the house. Additionally, because the cornice is levelled on the ceiling it would extend the ceiling and make it look higher. Yesteryear Range.
