The victorian panel has a lot of symmetrical lines. Lines are passing through the entire length which makes the dado rail noticeable. Also, it is more convex than flat, therefore it is only suitable for walls. Additionally, it would ideally go with our plain cornices which come from the Victorian period as well as ceiling roses.
