LARGE PLAIN MODILLION

Georgian plain modillion cornice at the turn of the Victorian period. Large modillion cornice where its original name is ‘bracket’. Modillions give the impression of holding whatever is on top of them. It seems like modillions hold the ceiling part of the cornice. This cornice does not have any ornamental decorations, but modillions are full and much bigger than in other cornices. It is suitable for big rooms with high ceilings.
