Medium sized plaster Ogee coving. Ogee style was a popular feature in English Gothic architecture. However, even now Ogee design is very popular as decoration inside or outside the house. This coving represents an Ogee shape, and because of its equal size on the wall and ceiling, it does not change a room size in any way.
