LATE DURHAM- CORNICE COVING
The purpose of a cornice coving is to separate the wall from the ceiling. It’s also to act as a kind of picture frame for the ceiling. This can be particularly useful if you have a beautiful lampshade or something else on your ceiling that you want to show off.
But most importantly, it enables the ceiling and the walls to perfectly stand out from one another.
The design of this particular cornice coving is incredibly clever. It’s so simple that most of the time, you will hardly notice it’s there, yet it still helps the room to stand out.
The design is so that it’s more prominent at the top than at the bottom. This makes the room seem more significant than it actually is.
Cornice Coving – Yesteryear Range.
Being made from casting plaster, this product is designed to last. And when I say last, I’m talking at least as long as the house itself. Plaster cornice coving is an incredibly tough material. There is even cornice from the Victorian age, which is still around today.
Installing a cornice coving is easier than you may be thinking. All it needs is some cornice adhesive and maybe cornice filler to fill in the corners. Both of these are available to buy from us. If you need any more help, feel free to get in touch.
Any sort of casual family room would be the ideal place to put this product. However, it can also suit more formal rooms.
The types of room that the family tend to spend a lot of their time in, such as bedrooms, kitchens, or living rooms. It’s incredible how something as simple as a cornice coving can make a room seem bigger than it is.
This would be your ideal product for a room that’s not too big. It can make it go from feeling cramped to cosy. But it will work equally well in other rooms too.
