An original cornice comes from the house built in the area of Balham in the 18th century. As you may know, the buildings in that area are bigger with a lot of open space, so the cornice used was of medium or large size. Straight Balham is very plain and simple. At that time most cornices were made straight on the ceiling, and they can be unique. Therefore, it is difficult to find an exactly the same cornice.
